Job Description

The Project Procurement Manager Area North and Latin America will be responsible for the Source to Supply Process of equipment and spare parts for construction projects within the Business Area North & Latin America. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine project requirements as per specifications while identifying vendors who are able to meet the project targets. This is a cross-functional role that will spearhead collaboration and facilitate procurement process implementation interdepartmentally, as well as across the Americas. This is a hybrid role open to candidates across the USA. 

Among other tasks you are responsible for:

  • Determining and analyzing Project Requirements and providing guidance and advice to stakeholders
  • Giving clear direction to project Supply Management personnel to ensure timely product delivery
  • Identifying suppliers and enhancing the existing Project Supplier Base
  • Choosing the appropriate suppliers by doing extensive industry research, and comparing various products in terms of quality and price. 
  • Negotiating prices to ensure TCO, award, and administer contracts
  • Managing suppliers' performance in terms of Quality, Delivery and Cost, with periodic (Quarterly) reviews
  • Effectively supervising change activity to assure adequate protection of the company against potential supplier claims.
  • Serve as the link between Doka and the supply market and utilize

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and flexible person with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to address challenges in a constructive manner. In addition, we look for the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the area of business administration, engineering or other related fields
  • Must be fluent in Spanish, ideally bilingual 
  • Technical understanding of the construction industry, specifically within the infrastructure sector
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing all Project Supply Management functions, including purchasing, subcontracting, expediting, material coordination, inspection, vendor document control, logistics, and supply management systems for small to big project.
  • Direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with manufacturers and Suppliers
  • Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written) and good Spanish languages skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to agreed deadlines and adapt to change
  • Travel readiness within North and Latin America
