Job Description

As a structural engineer Research & Development within the Structural Engineering department, you will contribute with your expertise to the development and improvement of new products. The Structural Engineering department provides profund knowledge in all structural matters and accompanies projects from idea generation, solution search, analysis, consulting and documentation to successful completion. 

Your tasks in detail:

  • Participation in national and international projects and product developments
  • Dimensioning of steel/wood constructions, anchoring in reinforced concrete
  • Carrying out variant studies in the course of product development
  • Proactive collaboration in product development
  •  (Testable) documentation of the calculation results
  • Monitoring, supervision and evaluation of tests

Qualifications

  • Completed technical education (university civil engineering/mechanical engineering or similar)
  • - Confident handling of 3D structural analysis software (Sofistik, RStab or similar) as well as knowledge of FEM (ANSYS or similar)
  • Good knowledge of engineering mechanics, strength of materials theory and the solution of stability problems
  • Sound knowledge of building materials (steel, wood, aluminium)
  • Good understanding of standards and ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new standards
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working
  • Very good communication and argumentation skills
  • Flexible, communicative, team-oriented personality
  • High willingness to learn and analytical thinking skills
  • Good knowledge of English and German (at least B2, ideally C1)

We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum yearly gross salary for this position is € 39,101 EUR according to the collective agreement (woodworking industry). A gross monthly salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience.
