Job Description

From metro stations to high rises to more challenging projects such as the diamond shaped PNB 118, Doka Malaysia  has  diversified  in  terms  of  scope,  but  also  location  to  include  several  projects  outside  of  the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

Doka  currently looking for a Structural Engineer MEAAP who will be responsible for providing engineering design and calculation support to high-rise buildings and civil infrastructure projects across the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

This position requires an enthusiastic individual who understands the formwork and scaffolding industry, is able to manage formwork design planning independently, as well as support the Sales team during proposal and pitching.

Your extensive experience in formwork design, specifically in high-rise and civil infrastructure, will make you successful in this role. You will be reporting directly to the Head of Engineering EAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports engineering projects across the Middle East, Asia and Australia
  • Works closely with our customers, sales employees and project engineers
  • Creates verifiable structural analyses for construction companies and coordinates with their project engineers
  • Creates tools for the dimensioning of formwork solutions
  • Performs internal and external static trainings
  • Supports the Product Center Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific with product developments
  • Coordinates closely with the static department at Doka’s headquarter for experience exchange and the implementation of a best practice approach within the area Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific

Qualifications

  • Graduation in Civil Engineering (specialization in structural engineering or steel construction is advantageous)
  • Professional experience in structural engineering/ statics is desirable
  • Building material knowledge (steel, wood, concrete)
  • Knowledge of European and local standards
  • Knowledge of CAD and structural engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, 3D and 2D Rstab, MathCad)
  • Team-oriented work approach and flexibility
  • Analytical skills and technical proficiency
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and be mobile
