Job Description

As our new Scaffolding Supervisor you will be responsible for ...

  • all aspects of day to day scaffold supervision of the project and control of multinational labor force.
  • Ensuring project schedules are achieved whilst maintaining the necessary standards of safety and quality.
  • Being pro-active in the approach to safety issues.
  • Distributing the workload evenly among the foremen and chargehands in their team for a steady and smooth running of the job
  • Being thorough with the project specification / procedure and guide foremen in executing the job.
  • Conducting tool box meetings to emphasis the importance of Quality, Health, and Safety and Environment policy and clients safety related needs.
  • Listening to the grievances of their subordinates and take necessary steps to address their concerns.
  • Planning the scaffolding scope to a level of detail to enable sound decision making and clear definition of weekly work scope to those executing the work.
  • Forecasting all material and safety equipment required for scope of work to be undertaken safely.
  • Demonstrating good planning and organization in their day to day activities.
  • Conducting and documenting scaffolding inspections
  • Ensuring each employee is adequately trained and competency assessed to work assignments. Particular attention shall be paid to new employees.
  • Ensuring when working at height that all employees are trained and competent in the use of all fall arrest equipment to maintain 100% tie off capability.
  • Reporting to Superintendent / Manager on a daily basis regarding work progress / productivity
  • Evaluating the work performance of the foremen / work force on yearly basis and report to superiors.
  • Monitoring and recording team members’ performance

Qualifications

  • CISRS certified
  • Experience with Ring lock scaffold system
  • Carpentry skills an advantage
  • UAE driving License
  • Moderate English skills
  • Flexibility – willing to carry out other tasks
