Job Description

The Project Procurement Manager Europe (m/f/d) will be responsible for the Source to Supply Process of equipment and spare parts for construction projects within the Area Europe. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders in the area Europe to determine the projects' requirements as per specifications while identifying vendors who are able to meet the project targets.

Among other tasks you are responsible for:

  • Determine and analyze Project Requirements and provide guidance and advice to stakeholders
  • Give clear direction to project Supply Management personnel to ensure timely products delivery
  • Identify suppliers and enhance the existing Project Supplier Base
  • Choose the appropriate suppliers by doing extensive industry research, and comparing various products in terms of quality and price. 
  • Negotiate prices to ensure TCO, award, and administer contracts
  • Manage suppliers' performance in terms of Quality, Delivery and Cost, with periodic (Quarterly) reviews
  • Effectively supervise change activity to assure adequate protection of the company against potential supplier claims.

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and flexible person with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to address challenges in a constructive manner. In addition we look for the following qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in the area of business or engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role 
  • Experience in managing all Project Supply Management functions, including purchasing, subcontracting, expediting, material coordination, inspection, vendor document control, logistics, and supply management systems for small to big project.
  • Direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with manufacturers and Suppliers
  • Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements
  • prioritize and analyze project requirements 
  • Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
  • German language skills beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure to agreed deadlines and adapt to change
  • travel readiness within Europe

Additional Information

You will be part of the Procurement Area Europe. Due to several locations in Europe, not only the office in Amstetten, also e.g. Prague, Slovakia, Germany or Poland would be conceivable. The salary framework is also adapted to local conditions.
