Job Description

As a Yard Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the yard’s operation, ensuring an extremely efficient, safe and organized yard.  Your taks include:

. Live the company policy and assure compliance with such.

. Support and promote the strategy realization.

. Ensure compliance with quality standards and warehouse processes, tracking and integrating changes into daily processes.

 . Comply with the Doka storage rules as well as the storage and packaging order of equipment.

. Equip the working place with the relevant tools and formwork material for reconditioning.

. Service and maintenance of tools for yard operation (forklift, cranes, high-pressure cleaner, circular saw, routers and small tools).

. Prepare IC containers breakdown / Control material quality to avoid complaints and reconditioning charges.

. Ensure the storage of the materials in accordance with the storage regulations.

.Preparing, conduct and explore differences of quarterly and yearly inventories .

. Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse and the yard

. Prepare quality control.

. Coordinate and control material receipts, storage, customer deliveries and returns and reconditioning of formwork.

. Optimize yard traffic.

. Complaint Management

. Demand and promote the delegation of tasks and the development of teams.

. Continuous staff development, skills-assessment of employees and training plan.

. Induction of new employees (training plan, safety measures).

. Active communication support (conversation culture, feedback, problem solving, decision making, presentation).

. Active conflict management.

. Property and asset protection.

. Any other task given by the line manager

Qualifications

. 5 years supervisory experience in yard, inventory or warehouse management  - in a formwork industry as a plus.

. 5 years practical experience in yard management and repair.

. Solid technical know-how and advanced knowledge in commercial processes.

. Practice in operating forklifts, slewing and portal cranes.

. Working knowledge in qualitative / quantitative staff planning, valuation of staff qualification, staff development and target agreement.

. Working knowledge of delegation, allocation of tasks, self and team management, project management and moderation.

. Knowledge of continuous improvement and innovation process.

. Team management experience, preferably in an international and multicultural environment.

. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications specially Excel.

. Experience in LOG KPIs / yard layout development.
