Job Description
The new Doka Organization, in particular the new Area Organization structure, has just been announced.
As part of the future Operations structure, the position Yard Operations North America, reporting to the Head of Operations Area NAM/LAM, is newly created and vacant.
The position of Yard Operations NAM shall support the improvement and implementation of the future Yard Operations strategy in North America.
Location of this position can be in USA or Canada with a high flexibility to travel within North America.
Tasks:
Support DUSA & DCAN in the coordination of strategic Yard Operations projects
Implement, standardize and improve Yard Operations processes
Allocate and develop yard automatization and industrialization concepts
Internal material flow analyzes to improve productivity
Close collaboration and exchange of communication with the central specialist departments in the HQ (YOP, FM) for further development of standards in YOP
Support investment decisions with corresponding concepts and payback calculations
Monitoring and follow up of Yard KPI’s
Ensure compliance with Doka quality standards with quality spot checks and trainings
Continuous staff development, skills-assessment of employees and training plan
Support and accompany quarterly and year end stock takes.
Short and/or midterm operative support in YOP of countries and branches (special trainings)
Qualifications
High level of experience in yard, inventory or warehouse management
Solid technical know-how and advanced knowledge in commercial processes Internal material flow
Experience in qualitative and quantitative staff planning, valuation of staff qualification, staff development and target agreement.
Working knowledge of delegation, allocation of tasks, self and team management, project management and moderation.
Knowledge of continuous improvement and innovation process.
Team management experience, preferably in an international and multicultural environment.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications specially Excel.
English fluent is required, Spanish is a plus
Willingness to travel internationally
