Summary of Position

 

Accountable for directing, administering and coordinating the activities of the Branch in accordance with the policies, goals, and objectives established by Doka USA senior management. Responsibilities include the collective management of Sales and Administrative functions, as well as full profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities to include administrative oversight of Branch Engineering and Operations functions. In partnership with senior management, participates in the formulation of strategic branch initiatives and Doka USA objectives including establishment and implementation of specific action plans. The Branch Manager in partnership with management team will achieve the company objectives for the Branch focused on revenue, gross margin and EBIT in accordance with rental rate, discount and profitability guidelines. The individual will also coordinate and prioritize work assignments with Operations and Engineering based on sales and customer needs. The individual will report directly to the VP, Major Projects and Business Development.

Responsibilities

Full responsibility for all aspects of the Branch organization in cooperation with Sales, Operations and Engineering.

Supports and monitors all Branch activities in coordination with the Sales team, Engineering Manager and Operations Manager.

Coordinates and manages operational and engineering resources within the Branch to ensure mutually agreed objectives are achieved in the agreed time.

Oversees Human Resources and staff development for all employees in the Branch in coordination with the VP and National HR.

Maintains an awareness of, and exercises judgment in areas such as market conditions, competitive activities and general economic conditions, in accordance with governmental, legislative and regulatory matters.

Utilizing a “hands-on” style, directs and generally supervises activities of the Branch, including, but not limited to, operational, engineering administration, marketing and sales and all aspects of the business with the objective of maximizing profitability and growth.

Ensures procurement of goods and services is coordinated with the Controller/CFO and Head of Procurement within signing authority limits and in compliance with the procurement guidelines.

Partners with Sales, Engineering and Operations to manage orders and projects to meet customer needs.

Reviews internal procedures, recommends process improvements to increase productivity and ensures compliance with existing Doka USA processes and standards.

Checks the feasibility of proposals to customers (RFPs) and customer purchase orders.

Ensures appropriate management of company assets.

Help resolve all customer complaints.

Ensures compliance with the Branch’s fixed cost plans.

Oversees proper maintenance of all Branch facilities and fixed assets.

Ensures all operations are Doka and OSHA compliant.

Ensures that required safety training are conducted on an ongoing basis; oversees safety audits.

Builds team spirit. Coaches and mentors Branch team; conducts weekly Branch meetings to coordinate with Sales, Engineering and Operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Complies with all corporate policies, group strategies and business practices.

Participates in job site visits as required.

Other duties and internal projects, required as assigned and appropriate, such as participation in various company committees/teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering/technical undergraduate discipline and/or minimum of 5 years equivalent experience

Possesses strong leadership skills, excellent management abilities

General knowledge of finance

Effectively manages multiple tasks.
