Job Description

As Head of Material Group Management (f/m/d) you will be responsible for the strategic management of the Category Management portfolio, including supply market management and development, strategic planning and execution, as well as performance and risk management, to meet business needs.

The main responsibilities of the Head of Material Group Management (f/m/d) include the following topics: 

  • Manage and develop the international Category Procurement teams
  • Develop and implement Category Procurement Sourcing strategies (demand-, supplier-, process-, portfolio management…) according to the strategic sourcing and category management process 
  • Manage existing supply base and lead negotiations 
  • Communicate category strategy to relevant internal customers
  • Track initiatives 

Qualifications

We are searching for a person with outstanding ability to lead and collaborate within a global organization and who fulfills the following requirements:

  • Graduate degree in the area of economics or technic
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role in an international working environment
  • Profound experience in developing strategies and project management
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and solid knowledge of global supplier market 
  • Outstanding negotiation and relationship building skills with internal and external partners.
  • Proven track record in delivering results and ability to work at pace in a dynamic environment
  • Proactive, open minded and solution-oriented personality with strong decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent English skills, German would be considered as an advantage
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%)

Additional Information

We offer an annual gross-salary starting at approx. € 65.000.- depending on qualification and experience.
