Job Description

We’re looking for a HR Business Partner who will act as a trusted advisor to our leaders and team members, helping bring our people strategy to life in a way that is both human and impactful.

As a key partner to the business, you will help strengthen leadership capabilities, foster team member growth and engagement, and ensure our people practices scale thoughtfully as the studio evolves.

  • Partner with leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent management, performance and team member relations.
  • Partner on workforce planning and provide oversight to talent acquisition in collaboration with the Senior Recruiter.
  • Coach managers on feedback, development, and team dynamics.
  • Lead talent and engagement initiatives, including Studio Growth Reviews and engagement surveys, leveraging people insights and data to identify trends, mitigate risks and drive meaningful action.
  • Manage and continuously improve core people processes across team members lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, policy implementation, communications, culture and people programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec and Canadian labour standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the Virtuos North America HR team to align practices, share expertise, and support regional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HRBP or similar role.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CRHA designation is considered an asset
  • Strong coaching and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to balance empathy and people’s needs with business priorities
  • Experience supporting managers in performance management and development conversations
  • Solid understanding of Quebec labor laws and employment legislation.
  • Clear and thoughtful written and verbal communication skills
