Ultiworld is the leading news media organization in disc sports (ultimate frisbee and disc golf). From deep reporting to incisive analysis to live video production, Ultiworld is at the forefront of content creation in the fast-growing disc sports world.

We are seeking a part-time social media manager to create and distribute content across all of our social platforms. You will work with both the editorial and business teams at Ultiworld to drive increased engagement for both in-house and partner content. 

We are looking for someone with fluency in digital media that can help Ultiworld establish a stronger voice and better storytelling, especially on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

Responsibilities:  

• Develop social strategies and execute our digital media campaigns

• Contribute to building a robust and curated calendar of social media postings that help drive our content across platforms

• Help identify paid social partnerships to drive growth 

• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media - including social partnerships, emerging channels, and new social products to ensure we’re innovating, evolving, and growing!  

Qualifications  

• Flexible, responsive, self-starter attitude with strong attention to detail. You must be organized, positive, collaborative, and resourceful.  

• Deep understanding of social platforms and their activation capabilities, including technical specs, audience targeting, creative best practices, and native analytics across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, and other channels.   

• Ability to synthesize data and trends into actionable insights

• A passion for our readers, with a curiosity to optimize social strategies to maximize audience engagement  

• Experience in social or digital media is a plus

• Graphic design experience is a plus
