Job Description

Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, located in Westminster, SC is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with a solid background in machine and equipment repairs including hydraulics, pneumatics, millwright, electrical and electronic controls, and rigging.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs of production equipment;
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments;
  • Work with equipment operators to observe, test, and evaluate the operation of process equipment to diagnose problems and malfunctions;
  • Repair, replace, adjust, and/or align components of machinery and equipment;
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service;
  • Test-runs repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs;
  • Fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment;
  • Order or requisition parts and materials; and
  • Use the computer system to record work orders and repairs performed.

Qualifications

A high school diploma plus a minimum of 3 years related experience in a manufacturing facility required. Demonstrated ability of machine maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repairs necessary. Ability to read and work from complicated blueprints, specifications and schematic diagrams. Must possess good problem solving skills. Experience fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment required.
