Job Description

Operate continuous strip and electric and gas-fired, horizontal or vertical furnaces to anneal stainless steel and other alloys of various widths and gauges. Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded in the production of material to desired surface quality, by following defined Quality Assurance operational instructions.

Regular attendance at work is required. Qualified candidates must be available to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, problem solve and perform basic math calculations to a level generally equivalent to that attained at a high school level, including the use and calculation of decimals, fractions.
  • Ability to read and interpret written documents.
  • Ability to work from written job orders, customer specifications and operational procedures.
  • Ability to use micrometer, scale and fixed gauges and other simple measuring equipment preferred.
