Job Description

We currently have an immediate opening for Project Manager at the Ulbrich Corporate office in North Haven, CT. The Project Manager will utilize business and technology expertise to plan, organize and integrate cross-functional IT projects that are significant in scope and impact. Provide critical bridge between the systems (technology) and business components of a project initiative in support of companywide operations. Monitor project progress, coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure project objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop project plans, goals, and budgets;
  • Manage projects throughout the research, design, development, deployment and support of systems solutions;
  • Write business system specifications and develops and implements project plans;
  • Establish work plan for each phase of project and secures necessary resources;
  • Assist with the conversion to standardized technology and software tools in support of technology conformity and integrated data solutions;
  • Provide recommendations for the acquisition/utilization of hardware and software as it relates to project objectives;
  • Coordinate activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget and modifies schedules or plans as required; and
  • Facilitate necessary meetings with business unit representatives and ensure the communication of project status both within MIS and with participating business unit personnel.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Business Management and/or Information Systems plus a minimum of 5-7 years of applicable business experience, with 3-5 years of project management required.  Must be able to demonstrate proven project management skills and results; ability to develop detailed implementation plans, measure progress and make adjustments to meet objectives; ability to understand technical documentation, analyze data or business issues and provide appropriate feedback and solutions; strong communication, interpersonal and organization skills; and hands-on understanding of business application systems with emphasis on financial, manufacturing and sales/marketing systems.
