Ulbrich of California is currently seeking a Slitter Helper and Slitter Operator for their West Coast Service Center located in Pico Rivera, CA.

Slitter Helper Responsibilities Include: 

• Loading and unloading steel coils onto a slitting machine
• Cutting cores for metal to be wound onto from a slitting machine
• Driving a sit-down forklift to retrieve steel coils from inventory racks
• Weighing steel coils and handling scrap metal
• Banding skids and packaging steel coils
• Lifting coils and packages that weigh a maximum of 50 lbs. 
• Creating and printing ID tags for coils
• Entering production data and measurements into a computer system
• Making calculations using mathematical formulas

Slitter Operator Responsibilities Include: 

• Installing sets of cutting knives on a slitter head
• Running various slitting machines to meet customer order requirements
• Routine maintenance of all equipment used for the job
• Entering production data and measurements into a computer system
• Making calculations using mathematical formulas

A successful candidate will have a background in production and manufacturing, forklift driving, and the ability to use a computer and various measuring tools along with good math skills and a focus on working safely.
