Job Description

Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc., located in Wallingford, CT, seeks a full-time Human Resources Generalist to be an essential member of the HR team.  Key responsibilities include, the development, communication and implementation of HR policies/guidelines, procedures, programs, administration, training, and recruiting.

Specific areas of responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, interviewing, selection process and onboarding for open positions.
  • Recruitment advertisements for newspapers, online job boards, social media and the Ulbrich website.
  • Assists employees at all locations with a variety of employee relations matters, policy interpretation, staffing needs, training needs, and communications.
  • Conducts new hire employee orientations.
  • Benefits Administration, Employee Events, Employee Communications, financial and wellness coaching, and other ad hoc projects as required.
  • Represents Ulbrich and participates as needed at outside functions such as the Chamber of Commerce HR Roundtable and Career Fairs.
  • Contributes content to all Ulbrich employee newsletters.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, preferably in Human Resources, plus a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience; excellent organizational and communication skills; knowledge of HR best practices; solid computer skills including proficiency with MS Word/Excel; and a proven ability to maintain confidential information.
