Job Description

Diversified Ulbrich located in Montreal is a full line stainless steel service center and distributor.  Diversified Ulbrich has an exciting opportunity for an HR Coordinator.   The HR Coordinator, under the general direction of the General Manager, will conduct various HR responsibilities.

Specific areas of responsibilities include:

  • Effectively recruits, and interviews openings at Diversified of Ulbrich divisions.
  • Prepares and places all recruitment advertisements for newspapers, on-line job boards and Ulbrich website.
  • Secures appropriate candidate background information as part of recruitment process.
  • Monitors and assists with arranging employee training for topics related to HR.
  • Consults with and assists internal managers with staffing needs, training needs, and communications.
  • Conducts new employee orientations.
  • In conjunction with internal managers and Corporate Human Resources, prepares Job Descriptions for new and existing positions; and
  • Assists with Benefits Administration, Employee Events, Employee Communications preparation, employee meetings, and other ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience. Requires excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Must have a thorough knowledge of HR practices and requirements and their application across diverse employee groups. Proficient PC skills and understanding of technology utilization within the HR function, excellent facilitation and presentation skills. Able to maintain confidential information and serve as a confidant to management and non-management staff, effective problem solver and mediator.
