Job Description

Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. (North Haven) is seeking a Power Platform Developer to help define and deliver Microsoft Power Platform solutions for our internal and external business partners. Ulbrich is seeking a motivated professional with a passion for continuous learning and continuous improvement. We seek a digital native - someone who is comfortable designing digital solutions and determining which technologies should be used to deliver a superior experience.

In this role, you will be expected to partner with subject matter experts and leadership teams to advise and assist in the design and build of applications to digitize, automate, and simplify existing business processes, using the following general framework:

  • Process mining and understanding: You will partner with subject matter experts to understand our current business process and constraints.
  • Provide actionable recommendations: You will be responsible for recommending solutions that utilize the Microsoft Power Platform and other tools with the objective of business process optimization. These tools include, but are not limited to Power Apps, digital workflow solutions, robotic process automation, virtual agents and other automation and process enhancement tools.
  • Solution design, creation, and deployment: You will contribute to technical design sessions to define user experience, data definition, process/rules configuration, and integration for intelligent automation solutions. You will assist in the design, test, and build of low-code/no-code intelligent automation solutions to help create customized enhancements to the power platform suite based on individual needs.
  • Continuous Education & Training: You will be responsible for maintaining process improvements after the design phase. You will also be responsible for developing training documents to be used to train end-users on how to effectively utilize leveraged technologies. Continually look for opportunities to support the team's service offering with a focus on repeatable, scalable, exportable practices and tools.
  • Provide Hands-on Support: During problem identification sessions, you will help to capture and document problems, major issues and actionable opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Information Technology,  plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience with the Microsoft Office 365 Platform and low code applications such as PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Forms, Teams and SharePoint required. Knowledge of APIs and experience with software integration. Experience developing new PowerApps model and canvas driven apps as well as enhancing existing apps. Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods. Ability to create custom connectors for Microsoft Automate is a plus. Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps. Ability to work with all levels of company staff to generate requirements and design solutions. Ability to project manage and implement designed solutions. Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus. Must have excellent problem solving, analytical skills and multi-tasking skills. Must have a solution-oriented mindset. Curious and a continuous hunger for learning and staying up to date with the latest solutions on the market.
