Job Description

The Content Marketing Strategist will work closely with subject matter specialists to create helpful content information and stories to enlighten customers on technical solutions. This position will repurpose technical information that can be used to build relationships with potential customers in the marketplace and further establish Ulbrich as a solution driven organization in the metals industry.

  • Manage existing publisher relationships to secure guest post opportunities and develop Ulbrich as a thought leader in the metals industry;
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts for the purpose of composing technical content;
  • Drive the growth and evolution of Ulbrich’s content strategy for the purpose of expanding our ability to engage our customers, and educate to the sale;
  • Strategize with the Marketing team in creating and executing account-based marketing campaigns through digital channels;
  • Develop content clusters and pillars to advance the Ulbrich's dominance in search results;
  • Partner with Marketing Supervisor on digital video production, producing storyboards and interviews;
  • Provide technical content material for new and existing distributable whitepapers, ebooks, and brochures;
  • Strategize with the  Marketing department in Ulbrich's Search Engine Optimization (SEO), analyzing marketing performance reports and making recommendations to improve measurable SEO metrics;
  • Develop new technical content ideas for all Ulbrich web properties, including our Canadian and Mexican divisions;
  • Partner with Marketing Team and Divisional Leadership to craft copy for new and existing website material;
  • Lead webinar development, collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager on deck design & storytelling; and
  • General copywriting duties for the Ulbrich website and advertising messaging.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technical communication, writing/composition, or similar field, with a minimum of 7 years technical writing experience;
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills;
  • Specific experience in conducting interviews for the purpose of creating a content article;
  • Proven ability to write clear, simple content that speaks to customers in their own language;
  • Knowledge of software technologies used for writing and publishing;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, a fast and eager learner with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and experience working with cross-functional project teams;
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changes in technology and processes, industry trends in technical communication, information architecture, and content development;
  • Collaborate openly and effectively with a range of subject matter experts;
  • Manage multiple projects and communicate status proactively; and
  • Experience creating content for software or apps.
