Job Description

Ulbrich Shaped Wire has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager.  This position is responsible for the management of all projects, installations, modifications and maintenance of the manufacturing building and all equipment.  Responsible for managing the CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System) and establishing and an effective Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment, machinery and building facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure production equipment electrical systems are maintained to meet production, quality, safety, environmental standards and shipping commitments;
  • Partner with Engineering on machine upgrades and new equipment installations;
  • Establish electrical maintenance standards and Preventive Maintenance Program;
  • Manage required record keeping for preventive maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance;
  • Manage Maintenance department to assure complete coverage of all equipment and building maintenance;
  • Investigate and solve maintenance issues;
  • Manage contractor services process, from vetting and analyzing prospective contractors to overseeing maintenance projects; and
  • Participate in annual budget process with regard to building/equipment maintenance expenditures.

Qualifications

A High School Diploma or Technical School plus a minimum of 5 years of experience supervising maintenance staff and contracted services. Hands-on experience with the development and management of a preventive maintenance program. Strong functional knowledge of production operations, electrical/electronic troubleshooting, PLCs, computers, pneumatics, hydraulics, general mechanical equipment/building repairs and maintenance practices.  Experience with parts inventory and computerized maintenance management systems; extensive knowledge of repair procedures and preventive maintenance.  Must possess strong communication and project management skills.
