Job Description

Ulbrich of Illinois is seeking college students who are looking for an exciting internship opportunity in Manufacturing and Quality.  As an intern you will be exposed to a unique and well-rounded experience that will allow you to apply your educational background in a hands-on environment. Manufacturing Intern

  • Assist with review of current processes;
  • Work with manufacturing management to determine areas of improvement;
  • Participate in/conduct studies to determine how and where efficiencies can be found;
  • Assist manufacturing management with administrative reporting, project flow and internal communications;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of efficiencies; and
  • Maintain and update database to capture studies and areas for improvement.

Quality Intern

  • Assist with updating Ulbrich Quality procedures;
  • Work with production personnel to ensure that published procedures are being followed;
  • Learn about material defects and help inspect material for obvious defects;
  • Assist quality department with administrative reporting, project flow and internal communications;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Quality Department improvements; and
  • Maintain and update database to capture studies and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or working toward a college degree, in a related field, such as Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain.  In addition qualified candidates must be detail oriented; possess effective communication skills (both verbal and written); be self-motivated; possess good organization skills; and have a desire to learn new concepts. Technical and/or related experience a plus.
