Job Description

Located in Alsip, Ulbrich of Illinois is a full-line stainless steel service center.  We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controller, who will be responsible for overseeing all company accounting operations including preparing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and conducting financial analyses.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Directing all general accounting activities for the division including general ledger, A/P, A/R, invoicing, financial statement preparation, financial records/files, taxes, fixed assets, capital expenditures, bank, cash management and other financial audits;
  • Directing annual physical inventory and cycle counts;
  • Preparing and monitoring annual budget and forecasts in conjunction with annual financial goals/strategies;
  • Proactively monitoring monthly and quarterly financial performance and making appropriate recommendations to achieve desired profit objectives;
  • Provide reporting and support for year-end audit and other audits throughout the year;
  • Providing financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures on special projects, programs, capital expenditures, and product costing; and
  • Preparing reports and analyses for presentation to Ulbrich management.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting plus a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment and a minimum of 3 years of staff management experience. Working knowledge of supply chain and/or materials is a plus. CPA or Public Accounting experience preferred.  This position requires strong leadership, analytical ability, demonstrated organizational and planning skills. Qualified candidates must possess effective verbal and written communication skills and intermediate skills with MS Office (particularly Excel). Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
