Job Description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Administrator to join our infrastructure team and play a key role in building, automating, and supporting our cloud platforms. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership and mentorship, ensuring our environments are reliable, scalable, and aligned with modern DevOps best practices.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive automation initiatives, design CI/CD pipelines, and strengthen our Linux-based systems and cloud-native capabilities. You will also support peers by sharing knowledge, guiding best practices, and helping the team adopt automation-first approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Private Cloud Operations: Support and maintain our OpenStack environment through troubleshooting, monitoring, and lifecycle maintenance (including upgrades).
  • Automation & CI/CD: Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments, testing, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Cloud-native Operations: Deploy, operate, and optimize containerized workloads with -Docker and Kubernetes, integrated with the private cloud and OpenStack ecosystem.
  • Linux Administration: Manage and optimize Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL) with strong expertise in networking, storage, and virtualization to ensure secure and stable operations. 
  • On-call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure availability and timely response to critical production issues.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a senior reference for DevOps practices, mentor team members, and foster adoption of automation and modern delivery practices. 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.

Oral and Written Comprehension of English

  • Experience with virtualization and hypervisor-level operations in production environments
  • Experience with low-level Linux performance troubleshooting and an interest in Linux kernel tuning
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with host networking concepts such as overlays and virtual switches
  • Strong interest in on-premise cloud architectures and technologies such as OpenStack
  • Experience with OpenStack or other private/public cloud platforms is a plus
  • Ability to lead by example, mentor peers, and promote a culture of automation and operational excellence
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in an international team environment
