Job Description

Public Affairs contributes to the success of the Ubisoft entities in Germany (Berlin, Düsseldorf, Mainz) by building relationships and using networks of the video games industry and other stakeholders (institutional, political & educational sector) to achieve strategic corporate goals (e.g. CSR initiatives, fostering the games ecosystem etc.).

What you'll be doing

  • Analyse and evaluate political, macro/microeconomic and social contexts
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to put local initiatives from Public Affairs to new heights
  • Research key socio-economic and political metrics on municipal, state and federal level related to the digital entertainment industry
  • Assessment of status quo, analysis, objective/format/tool creation, roadmap & budget planning, documentation, set and monitor KPIs
  • Prepare reports, briefings and presentations
  • Prepare & maintain activities in close collaboration with internal operational teams and external service providers.
  • Have a 360 approach and include a communication strategy for each activity

What you bring


  • A university degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, International Studies, Communications and/or Media Studies or other relevant studies/experience

Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years professional experience in public/corporate affairs, government relations and/or consultancy (preferably in the digital entertainment industry, institutional sector or government relations agency)

Skills and Abilities

  • Having strong social and communication skills
  • An understanding of German and EU politics is mandatory, and/or other international politics an asset
  • An understanding of the entertainment/media/tech and/or video game industry is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills in relation to legislation, policies etc
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with management, internal and external partners
  • Fluent in German and English, both verbal and written
