Job Description

Red Storm Entertainment is on the hunt for another highly talented and creative individual to join our amazing crew! We are looking for an Environment Artist who is passionate about creating compelling environments. The ideal candidate embraces collaborative work, clear communication, and has a winning attitude. Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and optimize realistic 3D environments
  • Collaborate with level designers to own a part of the game world from conception to completion.
  • Manage assets to fit memory, design, and frame rate limits.
  • Create high-definition 3D models that follow art direction guidelines.
  • Work with the Art team to ensure the quality and style of art assets are consistent with the project direction.
  • Assist Technical Artists in designing, implementing, and maintaining art pipelines.
  • Research new tools and techniques to create more efficient and visually appealing environments.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience creating environment art in a 3D game engine
  • Strong sense of scale, proportion, and scene composition
  • Experience with how environments affect gameplay
  • Eye for lighting, color and detail
  • Ability to find solutions from a visual, production, and technical perspective
  • Passion for pushing asset fidelity and refining production techniques
  • Understanding of optimization
  • Self-motivation and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Portfolio demonstrating knowledge of 3D modeling tools (examples include 3D Studio Max, Maya, or Blender).
  • Must be willing to complete a test if requested.
  • Must be authorized to work in United States.
  • Ability to travel internationality preferred.
