Job Description

The purpose of the IT Manager is to manage and oversee technology use at Ubiquity. To make decisions about IT budget, installation, maintenance, and upgrades on electronic devices. Understand Ubiquity’s computer hardware, software, security needs, cloud infrastructure, and to provide guidance for digital security standard. Overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals. Directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes. Work closely with leadership team and external vendors.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Management of IT systems and external IT vendors
  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them accordingly:
    • Internet security and access management
    • Internal server management
    • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Office 365
    • Monitor network and systems for performance, security, and other issues
  • Devise and establish new IT polices and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by leadership team
  • Implement and maintain the following polices:
    • IT Security, IT Security Breach, Emergency evacuation plan, Use of Personal Device, and Data Classification and Access Control policy
  • Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Plan and disaster recovery efforts
  • IT security and protection training for the organization
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
  • Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrade, migrations and outages
  • Manage and reporting on allocation of IT budget
  • Identifying opportunities for IT team training and skill advancement
  • Maintain, follow, and enforce all Ubiquity security policies and procedures at all times.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT management

  • Comfortable multi-tasking and with advanced trouble shooting situations

  • Disaster recovery experience

Additional Information

This is a salaried, full-time, remote position with an annual base salary of $90-120k plus variable.
