Job Description

Our Distributions + Loans Analyst is responsible for assisting our clients and participants with all requirements associated with the processing of their distribution and loan requests.

Core Responsibilities

  • The processing of distributions and loans on our record keeping platform and ensuring that all checks and tax records are produced timely and accurately
  • Ability to understand and work within the processing of checks/wires and tax related requirements for each of our custodial agents
  • Following up with employers to collect any missing information needed to process distribution requests 
  • Correspond with clients and other departmental personnel
  • Ensure that service level agreements are met and errors are reviewed and corrected in a timely fashion
  • Ensuring the validity and accuracy of data on our recordkeeping platform – Paradigm.
  • Responsible for assisting with projects related to 1099R tax validation, RMDs, and uncashed checks
  • Solid understanding of company policies, practices and service standards to ensure appropriate expectations are set and met with clients
  • Ensure that client needs, requests and challenges are addressed in a timely manner
  • Contribute to finding ways to improve processes and create efficiencies

Qualifications

401K knowledge - Knowledge of IRS and DOL regulations as it relates to the processing of distributions/loans

Customer Focus - Keeps internal and external customers in mind at all times. Proactively address client and participant concerns and involves them in all stages of processing

Organizing - Capable of managing multiple clients and priorities, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment with frequently changing priorities

Communication - Use of appropriate and effective language used for a given situation and actively engages in conversations to understand others’ message and educate sponsors or providers for a successful submission over the phone.

Integrity - Ability to develop and ensure high standards of quality control that promotes accuracy and accountability and minimize operational risk.

Skills + Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in processing distributions and loans
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze the logic of the system validation errors.
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to diagnose problems
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Process improvement – track record of improving processes
  • Excellent follow through and communication through email and phone
  • Intermediate excel knowledge  
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Salesforce experience a plus
