Job Description

This role will involve planning, development, implementation and oversight of a disease surveillance system. Qualifications and experience in public health epidemiology are essential.

Duties: 

Assists PI with the planning, development, implementation and oversight of the proposed acute and chronic HIV/HCV surveillance system project for the San Antonio and South Texas area.

Formulates research methods and suggests options for improving quality; identifies potential problems, recommends and implements solutions for the surveillance system project.

Works as a liaison with multiple departments and multiple job locations throughout South Texas for the completion of the project.

Performs data analysis and interprets results. Co-authors/authors publications and assists with final reports. May presents findings at meetings and conferences.



Qualifications

Specific professional Doctoral degree with 5 years related experience. Evidence of peer-reviewed scientific publications in the field of specialization required.
