Job Description
Position Overview: The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations and strategy of the company within China. This role includes managing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations. The Finance Manager will work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and support business objectives. The role will now be based in Wuhu, supporting a freshly created JV in the automotive industry. You will need to possess a strong work ethic, be resilient under pressure and able to work in a fast pace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve company goals.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Experience with putting strong controls on project management
- Financial Reporting:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with local and international accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with Chinese financial regulations and standards.
- Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Treasury and Cash Management:
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure liquidity.
- Manage banking relationships and optimize capital structure.
- Implement strategies for effective cash and treasury management.
- Taxation:
- Oversee tax planning and compliance with local tax laws.
- Optimize tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor and control costs to improve profitability.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop the finance team.
- Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Strategic Support:
- Provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance management, preferably within China.
- In-depth knowledge of Chinese financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
