Job Description

This PRN role is intended to provide coverage support. While the position is classified as PRN/as-needed, we are able to offer up to 40 hours per week depending on department needs.

Carolina Physical Therapy is hiring a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our energetic outpatient clinic in North Charleston. If you’re passionate about pelvic health and enjoy a collaborative, patient-centered environment, we’d love to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

  • Evaluate and treat pelvic floor dysfunction in men and women, including incontinence, bowel dysfunction, pre/post-natal issues, and related conditions
  • Assess patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings
  • Design and implement customized treatment programs using manual therapy, exercise, and patient education
  • Review physician referrals and relevant medical records to determine appropriate physical therapy treatment
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Educate and empower patients and caregivers throughout their rehabilitation and wellness journey
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, patient progress, and patient/caregiver instructions in a timely manner
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, insurance providers, and clinic team members
  • Supervise and be responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete required documentation including initial evaluations, progress reports, daily notes, discharge summaries, and incident reports

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current state South Carolina license
  • CPR certification
  • Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills
  • Outgoing and energetic personality
  • Responsible individual with a solid work ethic
  • Excellent communication and people skills
