Job Description:

JOB DUTIES

• Manual, black box testing, test execution

• Help develop Test Planto test that all functionality is working and that the data being pulled is accurate.

• Coordinates and collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure the Test Plan and identified testing solutions meet customer needs and expectations.

• Develop testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technical specifications.

• Test execution.

• Reviews and analyzes test results to confirm, establish, and communicate the cause of the discrepancy.

• Identifies inadequacies and improvement opportunities in the methods/standards and recommends changes.

• Assists in the preparation of estimates for the performance of the various activities defined in the Test Plan.

TOP 3 SKILLS:

1. Functional Black Box Testing (3 – 7 years)

2. Web application testing

3. Experience with the HP tool suite of test tracking tool – i.e. HP ALM (or HP QC version 10 or higher)

SKILLS REQUIRED (continued):

1. Must have testing experience with web applications. This includes the following types of testing:

• Unit/integration/system/Smoke/Regression Testing

• Interface testing (familiarity with file layouts, field mappings, etc.)

• 3rd party vendor integration testing

2. Proficient in the following test management and testing tools:

a. HP ALM 11.x (or Quality Center 10 or higher ) – must have

b. Business Process Testing – nice to have

c. Unified Functional Tester (aka QTP) – nice to have

3. Advanced understanding of software test methodologies, testing tools, and development methodologies and their interaction.

4. Able to perform risk analysis, validate requirements and specifications, establish testing priorities and scope:

• Develop test plans

• Evaluate, develop, and validate test scenarios

• Develop performance scenarios for testing

• Validate requirement traceability and testing coverage

• Defect Tracking and logging

5. Proficient in test reporting and metrics:

• Test planning and coverage reporting

• Test execution summary reporting

• Defect management and reporting

• Escalate quality issues for resolution

• Testing status and project feedback

• Archive testing assets in order to verify completion of testing

• Defect Reporting

6. Knowledge of Agile, Scrum development method and how testing team members participates in this process
