Position Title: Data Integration (ETL) Sr. Developer

Location: Washington, Dc (Locals Only)

Duration: 6 Months+

Deliverables

1. ETL design document (MS Word)

2. Tested ETL code , configurations, jobs, mappings, transformations, enrichments, cleansing, data warehouse load routines, activity monitoring, events, and scheduler

3. As needed, implement Q Rep – change data capture and replication from sources (various) to staging (DB2 on AIX)

4. Unit test cases and results (MS Word or Excel)

5. Resolved system / performance test defects with document resolutions in tickets

6. Review of business requirements document

7. Review of and contribution to logical data models, physical data models, data dictionary, and data flow diagrams

8. Review of and contribution to solution architecture document

9. Review of and contribution to system specification document (functional and non-functional) including source to target mappings, transformation, and data quality rules

10. Review of and contribution to detailed ETL design documents

11. May be required to support ad hoc data requests in a zOS COBOL DB2 production environment.

Skills1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, decision support systems (DSS), information engineering, business administration, or other related discipline. Master’s degree in a related discipline is a plus.2. 10+ years of experience of hands-on work designing and implementing the data integration solutions for data warehouse and business intelligence systems 3. 10+ years of experience in design, development and tuning industry leading ETL software tools in data intensive, large scale environments.4. 5+ years hands-on Talend ETL experience in a work (professional) setting.5. Strong SQL and data modeling skills like 3rd normal form and dimensional modeling6. Strong DB2, Java, and UNIX skills7. Nice to have Rocket shuttle and IBM Data Studio8. 5+ years hands-on zOS mainframe COBOL DB2 & JCL experience.9. Demonstrable understanding of the utilization of data for management reporting, business intelligence, and predictive data analytics purposes.10. Strong ability to effectively communicate (oral presentation) concrete concepts to a variety of stakeholders across business and information technology organizations in a formal and informal manner.11. Strong writing skills including attention to metadata and definitional detail as well as ability to visually depict concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.12. Proven ability to work close with others, to work through design challenges, to solve problems, and to mentor and guide.13. Proven ability to work both independently and in groups as a self-motivated and highly engaged contributor to deliver work on time and escalate issues impacting the deliverable end dates.14. Understanding and working (hands-on) knowledge of newer or emerging trends such as Big Data, Columnar databases, NoSQL, Hadoop, MapReduce, social media, XML, and unstructured text is a plus.15. 3+ years of experience working with Health Insurance (Payer) organizations or a highly related field including knowledge of HL7 and / or related Claims, Enrollment, and Benefits Administration industry data models / taxonomies is preferred (not required).
