The Project:

The team (9 people- made up of full stack devs/QAs/UI devs/ and 1 DevOps) is working on a proprietary SOC EMR System. They have the basic foundation for this system, but their focus for this FY is to focus on developing “the meat” of the product and enhacing it. They released a mobile app in 2016 and are also working to enhance that.

Right now, SOC Consultants use 6 different Applications for 1 consultation. IT is trying to consolidate, streamline and be more efficient.

Position Description:

The Sr Software Engineer, reporting to our Sr Director of Client Implementation, in our Client Tech Implementation team, will play a critical role in building Desktop & mobile based web applications. You will work in a flexible, fast-paced change environment here in our Reston, VA headquarters.

You will be a hands-on engineer:

designing and developing software solutions and related core components, foundational frameworks, UI and SOA based services. The position is responsible for building Web Applications using the Single Page Application (SPA) paradigm. You will have the opportunity to participate in the full SDLC from requirements through solution design, development, QA implementation, and product support using Scrum and other Agile methodologies.

Every day, you will collaborate with team and business owners in the design and analysis phases as part of self-organizing Feature teams. You will be responsible for maintaining source-code repository, participating in Code Reviews, and conducting Design Reviews. As a hands-on member of the team, you will participate in deployment of code into production, and will implement Web UI design. You will assist in the testing and user acceptance of Web pages and applications.
