Our customer Canon  / Oce is offering Managed Print Services to an increasing number of customers. To support the Canon fleet operators in their daily job to manage the printer fleet at a customer site, a dedicated support tool, Business Rule Module, is developed. It informs the fleet operator when action is needed because a printer runs out of supplies or reports an error. As such the Business Rule Module acts as an intermediate between the local monitoring tooling and the Fleet Operators.

Experienced Embedded software engineer for assignments within an existing engine project and maintenance.

Position's main tasks:

The engineer will be part of an embedded software team within R&D who maintains and extends functionality for 2 printer product lines.

As such he/she will be responsible for

• adding new functionality to existing systems.
• Troubleshooting: analysing problem reports and resolve them.
• The allignment with other disciplines in terms of requirements and design.

The assignment will be very diverse. Examples of the work are integrating a new type of finisher in the product (new functionality and multi-disciplinary issues), registration of the image on the paper, implementing customer specific functionality (new media size).

Need to have:

It is important that the engineer is up and running in the shortest time.

Former Oce; experience in embedded software is a plus.

• Experienced C++ embedded software engineer
• Knowledge & hands-on regarding regarding RoseRT tooling
• Fast learner, finds it easy to pick up in a new environment
• You have strong communication skills and like to work in cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical skills, sees a challenge in solving problems and are good at organizing the work
• Fluent English, verbal and written. Profound knowledge of Dutch is a plus
