Duration: 6+ month’s contract to Hire

OVERVIEW: Client has an immediate need for a junior to mid-level Java Developer to support a long term initiative. The candidate selected will support a fast-paced and enterprise-level environment leveraging many of the most cutting-edge tools and technologies while adhering to true Agile / Scrum software development practices and principles. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  
• Leverage industry Java best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination Java solution
  
• Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
  
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s (or higher-level) Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline desired
  
• 2+ years of software development experience; experience should include some exposure to commercial software development environments; experience should also include some tenure with at least 1 previous employer 
  
• Passionate about software development, loves programming and the art of software design.
  
• Eager to make a difference on a team and it shows; enthusiasm should stand out and should be accompanied by pride based on some previous accomplishments; ideal candidates will have some experience outside of work
  
• Solid technically and a willing communicator (not just someone who wants to sit in the corner by themselves!)
  
• 100% sold on SCRUM
  
• Demonstrable Java development experience should include…
  

                                o Java
                                o Spring Stack (Hibernate, Security, etc.)

                                o Agile (should be able to show experience during discussion)
