This is a 1-year contract role with the potential to convert to full-time. During the contract period, candidates are expected to work in a hybrid model with at least 1 day in-office per week (or every two weeks). Upon conversion to full-time, the expectation will be 1–2 days per week in-office.

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to provide technical leadership and hands-on engineering support for a global web platform. This role will play a key part in modernizing our web stack as we transition from traditional CMS platforms (Drupal/WordPress) to a modern frontend architecture using Vue or React with a headless CMS.

Initially, the role will be highly hands-on, contributing directly to development and helping guide the technical transition. Over time, the position will evolve toward mentorship, technical leadership, and architecture ownership across the frontend ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strong frontend engineer who enjoys building modern web applications, mentoring developers, and driving engineering standards across teams.
 

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development of modern frontend applications using React or Vue.

• Help guide the transition from Drupal/WordPress platforms to a headless CMS architecture.

• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance UI components.

• Integrate frontend systems with APIs and backend services.

• Define and promote frontend architecture, best practices, and coding standards.

• Mentor and support 2–3 developers in the immediate team while collaborating with a broader engineering group of ~10 developers.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and platform reliability.

• Act as a technical resource for complex frontend or platform-related issues.

• 8+ years of professional web development experience, with strong frontend engineering expertise.

• Solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue and component-based UI development.

• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, API integration, and scalable web applications.

• Experience working with or migrating CMS-based platforms such as Drupal or WordPress is a huge plus.

• Experience mentoring developers or contributing to technical leadership within a team environment.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern development workflows.

• Comfortable working in collaborative, distributed teams and contributing to architectural decisions.
