Job Description

About us:

We’re a small development team that recently decided to reinvent our systems and website on top of the MERN stack. We currently support or business through 3 separate services. Our website(SSR React app), our CMS(SPA) and our API(node/mongodb).

You’ll be working with the following topics/buzzwords:
Amazon ECS, Amazon S3, Docker, CI/CD, NodeJs, ExpressJs, ReactJs (v 16.+), Mongodb, Redux, Redux-thunk, Redux-saga, Webpack 4+, Figma, Bitbucket, Trello,  React CRA, Server Side Rendering, Code-Splitting, Eslint, Jest, Mocha, Selenium

Qualifications

Requirements (0-2 years of experience):

  • Strong knowledge in HTML5, we strive for semantic UI’s

  • Proficient in building UIs with CSS3

  • Experience with Javascript/ES6

  • Experience working with git

  • Coding sites/landing pages

  • Comfortable with a command line

  • Know your way around MacOs/Linux, we prefer not working with Windows

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with React (Angular 2+ or Vue is fine, it’s the experience that matters)

  • A preprocessor(we use SASS)

  • Experience with communicating with restful services

  • Knowledge about Babel and it’s use

  • Any design/UX experience

  • Experience with Figma/Zeplin/Avocode/Invision/Sketch (we use Figma)

Big plus:

  • Redux or any form of state management

  • Node.js (Our backend is built on top of Node)

  • Testing tools (Jest, Mocha, Selenium)

  • Understanding of semantic HTML and SEO implications
