Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence, to play a key role in advancing our data culture and analytical capabilities.
We are looking for a curious, adaptable, and forward-thinking individual who is comfortable working in a constantly evolving technology environment, including the integration of AI-assisted development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner to understand organizational challenges and define performance indicators aligned with business priorities.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive analytical solutions (semantic models, standardized datasets, dashboards, and advanced analytics) that support decision-making.
- Design, maintain, and optimize the Power BI architecture (star schema modeling, advanced DAX, security, deployment, and incremental refresh).
- Optimize data workflows using SQL and Google BigQuery, and leverage Python for advanced analytics and automation.
- Define business intelligence development standards and ensure proper documentation of solutions to guarantee quality and sustainability.
- Plan and prioritize business intelligence initiatives based on business value, while ensuring quality, timely delivery, and strategic alignment of deliverables.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence within a corporate environment.
- Strong expertise in Power BI (star schema modeling, advanced DAX, security, and deployment).
- Excellent proficiency in SQL and experience with Google BigQuery.
- Solid proficiency in Python for advanced analytics and automation.
- Ability to understand business challenges and translate requirements into structured analytical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written. In this role, you will regularly collaborate with internal clients across Canada.
