Job Description
We are currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our regional office.
You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable activities, supervising the AR team, and monitoring payments to ensure compliance with company policies and deadlines.
You will work closely with the Finance team and other managers to support departmental and organizational objectives. The role also includes contributing to monitoring, analysis, and forecasting activities related to accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach the AR team, organize and prioritize work while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Manage team performance, provide constructive feedback, motivate employees, and address disciplinary matters as needed.
- Analyze collection reports and outstanding balances to optimize Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Develop action plans for overdue accounts and manage communications with customers in cases of non-payment.
- Prepare and analyze monthly aging reports and review uncollectible accounts prior to write-off approval.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AR processes and collaborate with business units and Finance to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management or supervisory role within accounts receivable.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken. In this role, you will regularly collaborate with internal clients across Canada.
- Experience managing a team (strong asset).
