Job Description

In this role, you will help build the analytical insights that influence Twitter’s workforce strategy and initiatives. You will be tasked with getting a deep understanding of our workforce management practices and leverage data to inform leadership of trends, challenges and opportunities. This will be accomplished through developing interactive dashboards to support self-service reporting, completing planned or ad hoc analysis work, and presenting insights to all levels of stakeholders.

You will also support the development of the data science team’s function including assisting with the design and enhancements of our HR data warehouse, developing and growing stakeholder relationships, and improving the team’s operating processes.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Analyze and report on people metrics on a regular cadence (e.g., weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually), answering descriptive questions as well as making recommendations. 
  • Collect and identify user / stakeholder requirements for reports, dashboards, and analyses within the HR space. 
  • Develop new Tableau dashboards and inherit existing dashboards for further development to support self-service reporting. 
  • Work in partnership with other team members to conduct planned and ad-hoc analyses and data visualizations, complete with insights and recommendations. 
  • Assist in developing technical requirements for enhancing our HR data warehouse and data pipelines.
  • Create, permission, and socialize dashboards displaying analysis findings for a wide range of audiences (technical and nontechnical). 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Data Analysis: Beyond reporting outcomes and metrics, identifying root causes and making recommendations to business partners.
  • Data Visualization: Developing engaging, clean, and clear data visualizations to make trends and insights easy to identify and understand.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicating frequently and completely with stakeholders regarding project statuses. Also, the ability to ask probing questions to understand the scope and requirements of projects.
  • Data Management: Employing best practices for structuring, documenting, and organizing data to solve long term challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS data and variables influencing the employee lifecycle. 
  • Knowledge of a workforce reporting platform (e.g. Workday, Vizier, Worklytics, SmartRecruiters, and Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Must be proficient with using Tableau Desktop and Server (e.g., LOD & Table calculations, dashboard design, server site management).
  • Strong written and verbal communication, both technical and non-technical.
