The Health Products & Service organization’s mission is to provide the global community with a safe and trusted social conversation platform. The Health Platform team builds services to make it easier and faster to reduce harm and abuse on the platform.

Job Description

In this business-critical role, you will drive the strategy enabling HPS to scale the development, management, and governance of bots being used to automate work for Health teams. Automation includes creating workflow efficiencies, detection experiments, and enforcement decisions. 

As the PM, you'll be responsible for the development, management, and governance of bots being used to automate work for Health teams. You'll also be responsible for driving an overall strategy that reduces operations costs via increasing automation of work. You'll develop the governance framework and own the work associated with creating the guardrails needed.

Who You Are

You are a platform-focused strategic product thinker with a track record of making an impact on a product based on user-generated content or interactions. You bring strong technical fluency and product intuition, an understanding of hypothesis-driven product development processes, and are effective at operating in fast-paced environments that have to react to a changing global environment. Clear and concise communication is essential.

You have a passion for improving online health and safety, an understanding of this landscape is helpful, but direct experience with this is not required. We encourage new perspectives provided you have a strong interest in this space and the capability to learn quickly.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on role that will focus on exploring customer, technology, and regulatory needs in this space and building solutions quickly with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.

This role specifically will, in no particular order: 

  • Build and own the strategy and execution for your area in collaboration with peers in Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, Legal, Policy, and Operations 

  • Pursue deep customer understanding through quantitative & qualitative techniques

  • Use your understanding of customer needs, broader company goals, and how they fit together to drive decision-making in ambiguous situations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in Product Management type roles, with experience in internal platforms and products

  • Excellent at building strong relationships with a diverse set of customers and stakeholders from across the business, regardless of their role or specialism

  • Inclination towards data-driven decision-making without being paralyzed by incomplete information

  • A structured approach to identifying, understanding, and solving customer problems 

  • A collaborative approach to aligning team members without defaulting to consensus-driven decisions

  • A strong growth mindset and empathetic servant leadership approach to product management

  • You’re able to simplify and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to explain impact and drive buy-in

Desired

  • Experience providing product management support to remote teams

  • A working understanding of machine learning and/or automation systems and their capabilities/limitations

  • Prior experience as an engineer/data scientist is helpful
