Job Description

We are looking for a Spanish-speaking, Lead Brand Strategist to support Twitter’s work in Spain, as part of the Twitter Next team. This role can be based in Spain, or Ireland.

Twitter Next?

Twitter Next is a global team of strategists, creatives, and technologists - dedicated to finding the next way to get people talking about brands. We are embedded and indispensable partners to Twitter’s sales organisation and use our deep knowledge of marketing, digital advertising (including mastery of Twitter), and brand knowledge to influence and deliver outstanding creative and strategic solutions.

We design creative solutions that deliver against brands' marketing objectives and KPIs. Furthermore, we generate compelling creative ideas rooted in data-driven insights and a strategic understanding of brands and Twitter.

We are looking for a Spanish speaking Lead Brand Strategist  based in Spain or Dublin, with a focus to pitch, develop and implement innovative and creative uses of Twitter to help brand marketers not only achieve their key objectives but stand out and get them talked about.

You are a Lead Brand Strategist with a fascination for the speed of culture, brands, and tech who lives and breathes ideas. Furthermore, you have worked as an all-terrain planner with (or for) remarkable brands for at least 10 years.

You love developing and distilling concept-level ideas that are based on tapped social tensions, bold, ambitious and concise enough to drive headlines.

You are a rare type of planner, because you are goal-oriented and results-driven, a creative lead and a powerful motivating force for those around you. In this time, in this team and for this market, you just don’t deliver thoughtful thinking to illuminate others. You turn on every light along the project until it is shipped. This is a big difference.

Soon, you will be launching campaigns at a monthly rate and pitching creative proposals on a weekly basis. The amount of experience and knowledge and new business acumen will be forever yours here at an accelerated pace.  You gravitate towards collaboration, especially with salespeople and tech people. Speak their language as you share how they learn the planner talk.

You have the experience that guides your sense of what makes an idea that moves people to talk about it (on and off Twitter). You know how to build pitches and stories that sell ambitious, creative work to senior marketers, with a track record of launching breakthrough brand-building activations that infiltrate culture. Likewise, you are a creative thinker and can light up a room with your strategic thought, collaborative energy, and drive to do best-in-class work. Your communication skills are exceptional, both internally and externally.

What You’ll Do

You will leverage your experience to lead responses to briefs from top tier brands, and nurture relationships internally and externally.

A typical working week will include creative ideation on behalf of clients of Twitter Spain, consultation sessions for both sales teams and customers, liaising with technologists to support creative projects with complex technical layers, presenting live at workshops, developing briefs, advising on and creating case studies and award applications. However, your primary goal is to develop creative, human-centric ideas worth talking about that are unique to Twitter’s platform, leveraging new features and platform innovations in meaningful ways.

You are a leader who uses their creativity and insight to drive our brand strategy businesses forward. You will have to balance deep, focussed thinking with the ability to support ideate, pitch and perform.

 Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Sustain a track record and commitment to crafting compelling insight-supported ideas and storylines to senior marketers up to C-suite level that achieve brand objectives and deliver measurable results.

  • Contribute clarity, direction, and input throughout the brainstorming process led by you. Determine the best path forward based on the cross-functional team’s proposed concepts. When needed, provide input on how to push concepts further or re-think concepts in service of maximizing their ability to drive the conversation on Twitter.

  • Distill concepts into punchy, bold concept statements, enabling others to expand upon and improve how an idea is brought to life.

  • Partner with creative technologists and producers to invent new ways to use Twitter in service of an idea.

  • Be the guardian of the concept throughout the production process. Ensure the core spirit of an idea is represented throughout the refinement, build, and delivery phases (which includes remaining an active participant in projects all the way through launch).

  • Provide actionable input and feedback on the work of your cross-functional partners, up-leveling the idea quality and final creative product.

  • Represent Twitter as a thought leader and leaned-in partner in client and agency settings.

  • Be an embedded partner to sales teams, both reactively and proactively, working to drive the business forward. Have a 'Bias to yes' and an ability to establish mutual trust.

  • Foster an environment of curiosity, continuous learning, and improvement with your teammates.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience at a creative or social agency, on the client-side, at a tech platform, or with a media company (multi-disciplinary experience preferred)

  • Deep understanding of Twitter's promoted products and overall advertising model

  • Proven track record of conceptual creative ability, judgment, and responsibility for selling-through work.

  • Experience leading and managing clients, accounts with a high degree of accountability and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to manage multiple high profile projects at different phases of the creative process simultaneously.

  • Cross-functional experience, working across a variety of teams including (but not limited to) sales, product, engineering, communications, business development, and media.

  • Elite written and verbal storytelling and pitch experience + skills through Keynote, Google Slides and Keynote with a demonstrated ability to leave an impactful impression through presentations and pitches
