You will be responsible for helping manage and maintain the security of Twitter’s Zero Trust infrastructure that keeps Twitter’s internal systems and employees safe and secure. You will be part of a team that is tasked with maturing Twitter’s Zero Trust security posture and designing solutions that solve key security risks impacting Twitter employees globally.

As a Zero Trust security engineer, you will:

• Build and maintain remote access solutions that enable all Twitter employees to do their job reliably and securely. 

• Provision and troubleshoot Zero Trust enabled applications

• Foster strong partnerships and provide excellent customer service for partner teams and end users alike

• Develop and maintain CI/CD, runbooks, dashboards and alerting for Twitter’s Zero Trust remote access infrastructure

• Continually review and assess Twitter’s Zero Trust infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability

• Proactively detect and alert to issues with the Cloudflare Zero Trust solution

• Recommend, apply, or help build frameworks for writing acceptance tests to catch bugs before they land

• Advocate and evangelize for Zero Trust with stakeholders throughout Twitter.

• 3 or more years of relevant experience (other jobs, grad school, etc) in information security

• Familiarity with Zero Trust ecosystems and implementation strategies

• Expertise with Puppet and Terraform

• Fundamental understanding of web applications including AJAX/JSON/CORS/CORB

• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining resilient services on infrastructure at scale

• Practical understanding of bare metal vs. containerized approaches (especially k8s, docker and/or mesos)

• Knowledge of Go, Python

• Working knowledge of networking concepts, including:

  • Flows/Sessions

  • Load Balancing

  • Stateless and stateful ACLs

• Proficiency with multiple hardware platforms such as Juniper, Arista, and Cisco
