Job Description

Come help us scale our Core Ads Engineering Business and you'll have autonomy, ownership and impact. The overall team is growing at a rapid rate, and we expect significant growth as we continue to grow our revenue impact and product execution.

Brand Ads is a team of teams responsible for building products that are at the core of both the user and advertiser experience in the brand/awareness advertising space. We work across all platforms (Android, iOS, Backend, and web frontend). As a Senior Staff Engineer, your responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Design scalable solutions that enable simple and elegant management of complex products. Oversee and guide designs developed by others

  • Craft tools, processes and frameworks to guide colleagues through safely releasing production code

  • Work with peers, partners, and senior leadership to establish technology and product vision, and shape the company’s long term strategy

  • Drive execution across organizations with focus on quality and efficiency

  • Support and maintain your software to ensure a high quality customer experience

  • Help managers in developing the team by providing real-time feedback to technical leaders and cultivating the culture of inclusiveness and engineering excellence

Qualifications

  • B.S.+ in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems at scale and data/experimentation platform technologies. Knowledge of at least two of the following platforms: Android, iOS, React, Scala/Java

  • Knowledge of the industry landscape and challenges in building Ads products

  • Ability to code; ability to develop product prototype quickly, and if warranted, apply rigor in refactoring or rewriting systems for production purposes

  • Ability to generate clarity and form execution plans from high-level strategy or problem definition

  • Excellent communication skills in describing insights, proposing solutions, and getting buy-in from multiple parties (including developers, customers, and cross-functional partners)

  • Leadership skills in aligning team effort with organizational and business objectives

  • Growth mindset and a desire to learn, teach, and mentor
