Company Description

Twitter is what's happening and what people are talking about right now. For us, life's not about a job, it's about purpose. We believe real change starts with conversation. Here, your voice matters. Come as you are and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation.

Job Description

Twitter is looking for a passionate Product Design Director to lead the design team responsible for our Twitter Developer Platform team (https://developer.twitter.com/), which builds and owns Twitter’s public Application Programming Interface (API). This is a rare opportunity to work with the Twitter Developer Platform team to unlock developer creativity & innovation to serve the public conversation. The Twitter API has been used by millions of developers to build integrations with Twitter, from “hello world” apps in classroom settings to the most-used consumer and business products in the world. We help businesses, academics and hobbyists to #understand what is happening in the public conversation, #engage with people on Twitter, #learn how to code, #play by creating unique Twitter interactions and #enhance the core Twitter experience itself.

As a Product Design Director at Twitter, you will have a direct impact on product strategy, roadmaps, and the detailed design of new experiences.  We are part of a larger design and research team that’s full of amazingly talented and fun people who are passionate about Twitter’s ability to help people see beyond themselves and connect with the larger world in a meaningful way.

The Twitter Developer Platform team’s goal is to inspire developers everywhere to build and innovate on Twitter. Last year we launched our v2 API with new end-points that support development on some of our brand new Twitter surfaces (including Spaces).

You will partner with our Research team to find opportunities and integrate user insights into product strategy and design.
