Company Description

Twitter is what’s happening and what people are talking about right now. For us, life's not about a job, it's about purpose. We believe real change starts with conversation. Here, your voice matters. Come as you are and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation!

This role is a full-time position based in Twitter’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco. While we have a preference for San Francisco, we are open to exploring candidates based in other locations. [Please note working hours will be in Pacific Standard Time]

Who We Are:

Revenue Finance provides insight into Twitter’s business using financial models built on strong relationships. We engage directly with both senior management and front-line sales to understand the drivers of Twitter’s revenue and how to optimize that revenue.

You will also be involved in approving and signing contract IOs.

We are looking for a proactive, independent thinker, with sound business insight and excellent communication and collaboration skills. You are able to work in a structured manner and also thrive in ambiguity while not afraid to dive into business challenges and create solutions to problems that have never been pursued before.

What You Will Do:

  • Work collaboratively across different functions to understand deal requirements, structure, business terms and identification of potential risks and/or opportunities that can affect performance, growth and strategic positioning

  • Support decisions with reporting needs and modeling to evaluate deal economics, commercial terms and conditions, and operational requirements for opportunities

  • Review and verify incoming deals for accuracy; confirm transactions adhere to revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines; help coordinate system reviews, ensure accuracy of data and meet SLAs

  • Review and countersign Twitter’s revenue contracts and insertion orders and handle escalations

  • Gather and provide input as to the critical information to move the deal forward, such as the summary of discussions, decisions made, and assigned actions to be completed during deal meetings

  • Design and implement reporting tools for business partners, including process and system improvements. Use models and analytics to identify trends and influence business partners, and drive effective decision making as well as forecast GAAP adjustments.

  • Create and update policies, procedures, and training material as needed. Ensure documentation is updated by gathering feedback or when questions arise

  • Ensure approvals required for non-standard deals have been properly documented, raised to the right approval levels, and resolved within reasonable timeframes

  • Become a trusted advisor to Sales on deals and drive deal closure by being approachable and providing direct support

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of Analytics, Deal Desk, Finance, Accounting, and/or Sales Operations background, working in high-growth, performance-focused environments

  • Experience with Salesforce and Apttus is preferred

  • Experience in dealing with sophisticated, cross-functional deal/contract management across Sales, Finance, Legal and Accounting

  • Advanced Microsoft or Google Suite skills, specifically in Excel/Sheets or PowerPoint/Slides

  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts, such as application of US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules is an asset

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or similar fields required; Master’s degree and/or Professional designation in Accounting, Finance or Legal a plus
