Job Description

New customers join Twitter every day. The Customer Journey team builds product experiences to help new customers onboard onto the product and hire Twitter in the long run. Our mission is to help customers discover the value of Twitter as quickly as possible -- to learn how to use Twitter, discover the wealth of content and conversations on the platform, stay informed about the world and their interests, participate in conversations they care about, and find their audience. We are looking for a product leader to help shape the product experience for our new customers towards long-term retention and tackle a critical and highly visible problem for the company and our customers.

 

What you’ll do

  • Build a deep understanding of our new customers, why they come to Twitter and their journey from before signing up to becoming an active customer

  • As the product lead for the group, collaborate with a cross-functional team across product, engineering, design, user research and data science to shape our long-term vision and strategy, partner with product managers on the team to develop product roadmaps towards this strategy, and be accountable for execution and impact across multiple workstreams.

  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders to holistically improve the new customer experience 

  • Mentor and coach product managers on the team

  • Be a champion for new customers and the team’s mission internally in the company and present our work to internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a product manager

  • Principled approach to identifying, understanding, and solving customer problems 

  • Customer obsessed with a history of building successful consumer products 

  • Experience with hypothesis-driven experimentation and deriving meaningful insights from data

  • Track record of collaborating with a large and varied group of cross-functional teams and partners to tackle ambiguous problems and drive towards decisions

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • You have a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, are a self-starter and an analytical problem solver.

  • (Bonus) Experience managing or mentoring product managers

  • (Bonus) Experience building AI-first products

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act):
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$191,000.00 - USD$267,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
