The teams in Twitter’s Trust & Safety department are on the front lines of safety, expression, and policy issues that affect the Internet. Safety Policy works to ensure user trust, protect user rights, and mitigate legal risk through policy definition, Terms of Service enforcement, and safety advocacy. What You'll Do

You will be responsible for researching, drafting, and driving process changes for policy and safety solutions to better serve our customers. You will build relationships with key internal partners and work with those teams to implement, enforce, and communicate our policies in a clear, objective, and patient way. You will drive data-based decisions and implement key changes to improve policy performance over time, as well as respond to escalations on complex cases.

**Please Note:  Some weekend on-call work may be required during times of crisis incident response.

  • You are resilient and enjoy working independently
  • You have the ability to anticipate needs and develop and implement solutions, before others have to inform you of them
  • You are extremely detail-oriented and patient, with extraordinary communication skills
  • You are enthusiastic, adaptable, and can quickly translate feedback into action. Changes happen all the time, but you can roll with the punches.

Qualifications

Strongly Preferred Experience

  • 4-7 years’ experience working on content policy and/or online abuse matter
  • You have experience drafting and launching policy
  • You have a deep understanding of human rights and civil rights as they intersect with technology
  • Prior experience working in a globally distributed team
  • Experience balancing safety issues and freedom of expression
  • Experience in operations and process improvement
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience
  • Fluency in one more more language(s) other than English is a plus!

Notice (Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act)
The expected salary range for this role to be performed in Colorado is USD$128,000.00 - USD$179,000.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for participation in Twitter’s Performance Bonus Plan and Equity Incentive Plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
