The Information Security Intelligence (ISI) Team is the branch of Twitter’s Threat Management and Operations organization. The primary mission of the ISI Team is to help protect our users, our employees and our company's data by identifying emerging malicious information security threats and making recommendations on how to limit the potential exposure.

What You’ll Do:

 

You will be responsible for building the threat intelligence program and leading a team of security engineers, providing leadership, coordination, and operational management of the team. In this critical role, you will help develop a threat intelligence strategy, set goals for the team, and provide performance and professional feedback. You will foster strong partnerships with other InfoSec threat detection and response leaders and strategic business partners across Twitter, helping them make better decisions to effectively mitigate threats in the environment. As the manager, you will lead the team to prioritize delivering immediate actionable threat intelligence value to stakeholders while continuing to improve through better skills, policies, procedures, and processes.

This work is vital to ensuring the security and safety of not just our fellow “Tweeps”, but of our diverse and global users and customers.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop vision, strategy, and roadmap for the InfoSec Threat Intelligence program in collaboration with other Threat Management and Operations leaders

  • Build out and support our team of threat intelligence engineers needed to create and mature the program

  • Establish continuous intel operations to include proactive monitoring, collection, reporting, assessments, and mitigation techniques for threats against Twitter

  • Be responsible for actionable security threat metrics and trend reporting

  • Drive Twitter’s threat intelligence management program which provides anyone in the company doing intelligence analysis 1st party and 3rd party intelligence, data, assessments, and history. 

  • Support the product management of an increasing number of tools and services designed to support threat intelligence outcomes, with customers across a diverse customer base in InfoSec, Privacy, Platform and Corporate Security teams.

  • Mentor, grow, and empower your team by giving them the skills, confidence and motivation to make decisions independently and become technical leaders.

  • Help the individuals on your team to build and execute personal development plans that align with Twitter’s goals and objectives, and understand how their work fits into the bigger picture.

  • Scale the team by sourcing and hiring talented people both externally and internally.

  • Manage people working from home or in Twitter offices around the world.

Qualifications

Ideally, you have experience with:

  • Setting and measuring team metrics and strategic goals

  • Defining a long-term strategic roadmap

  • Leading a geographically distributed engineering team

  • Attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures and the threat actors behind them

  • MITRE ATT&CK Framework, intelligence analysis and collection, IoC ingestion and curation

Requirements:

  • 8 or more years of relevant information security experience, with a focus on threat intelligence, cyber threats, threat management

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical supervisory or management experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to express technical security concepts into language suitable for diverse audiences.
