Here, your voice matters. Come as you are and together we'll do what's right (not what's easy) to serve the public conversation.
Team Description / Who We Are:
We're seeking a Senior Researcher to be part of our Revenue team, focusing on Revenue Diversity to support our Revenue Durability initiative. At Twitter, our research and insights play an integral part in inspiring the products that fuel Twitter’s mission to give everyone the power to create and share information without barriers. Our team has a direct impact on revenue diversification strategy, product roadmaps, and the design of new experiences that help Consumers, Creators and Businesses get more out of Twitter.
Job Description
As a member of our Revenue Diversity Research team, you will own the proactive discovery, exploration, and development of strategic customer-centric insights that will anchor our understanding of non-ads revenue, identify ways to earn money outside of Ads, and drive product strategy. By acting as the voice of the customer, you will help teams understand the core needs of consumers and professionals so that we may develop alternate means of monetization that are beneficial to both Twitter and the people who use our platform.
Collaboration will also be a key part of your role! You will establish relationships with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, and Data Science. Also, you’ll work with other research teams across the business to connect the dots, seed new insights, and ultimately sharpen product development strategies to fuel long-term sustainable revenue growth for Twitter.
Responsibilities
- Through mixed research methods, develop customer-centric insights that guide our subscription strategy across teams in Product, Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Data Science.
- Drive research for strategic projects, including purchase behavior, willingness-to-pay, and concept evaluations
- Promote and lead trend synthesis and competitive landscape analysis through investigation of rapidly shifting marketplace dynamics, and serve as a trusted advisor for partners in the space.
- Deliver creative and impactful insights stories that engage our partners and also elevate the Experience Research function as a whole (where possible).
- Build collaborative relationships with a wide array of cross-functional partners
Qualifications
You are an experienced researcher with a strong, working understanding of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. You know exactly when to engage with teams across Design, Product, Engineering, and Marketing, what questions to ask, where to probe, and how to implement the most effective research strategies. You are a creative problem-solver who seeks to deeply understand the business so that you can define the most actionable and strategic research plans. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy setting your own research goals, managing load and expectations, and delivering actionable research findings and recommendations. You’re passionate about Twitter and believe great experiences are always inspired by a deep understanding of the user.
Minimum Qualifications

- Experience in Growth, Pricing, Market Research, and/or B2B research is a plus
Preferred Competencies
- Have a working knowledge of paid products, including subscription services and payment platforms
- Have a track record of delivering customer-centric thought leadership that informs business, marketing, and/or product development strategies and roadmaps.
